Are all courses offered online?
Unless otherwise noted, ALL courses are offered online and are six weeks in length.
Do I have to be online at a certain time for the courses?
There are no face-to-face or specific meeting time requirements. As fellow educators, we understand the demands of teaching, but also understand how important professional development is to the successful learning of all! With that in mind, we created The Learning Tree as a way to offer affordable, online courses that have no hidden fees and can be taken at convenient times that work for you in your life!
Are your courses available for credits and professional development points?
Courses are able to be purchased as either a 3-credit graduate course (credits to be awarded through Endicott College in Beverly, Massachusetts) or as a 67.5 professional development point (PDP) course. The Learning Tree is an approved provider of professional development points through the Massachusetts' Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. You can purchase a course using the STORE tab on The Learning Tree’s website (www.tltpdn.com).
What are the semester/course dates?
Each course's dates, description, and syllabus can be located by clicking on the STORE tab at the top of the page.
Where can I find course descriptions?
Course descriptions as well as each course's syllabus can be found HERE or under the STORE tab on The Learning Tree’s website (www.tltpdn.com). If you scroll down, you will note the courses that are being offered for the upcoming semester. Additionally, as you scroll down, each course's title is listed along with its course description. The drop-down menu provides the choices of taking the course for 3-graduate credits or 67.5 PDPs. Under the drop-down for course format, you can also view each course's syllabus.
Is there a course withdrawal/refund policy?
Are there policies related to The Learning Tree’s accrediting higher education institute?
Yes! Registration forms for course graduate credits must be completed at course start. Participants are expected to review The Learning Tree’s Academic Integrity Policy. In addition, students are required to abide by the Academic Integrity Policy of The Learning Tree’s partner institution when participating in courses for credits.
How do I get a password to take a course?
Course passwords are sent to participants after the purchase of a course. More specifically, course passwords are sent to participants no later than one day prior to the start of the course.
Will I have to purchase a textbook?
No! The Learning Tree was created as a way to offer affordable, online courses that have no hidden fees for textbooks, etc. and can be taken from the convenient times that work for you in your life!
